As a photographer who is looking for interesting places to photograph you should try out the relativity new (June 2007) Google Street View application. With it you can see many streets, parks and buildings in cities world wide.

Google’s top 10 Street View tips for everyday use

Select tips for photographers:

View street level photographs

Take virtual walks; pan, rotate and zoom through cities around the world

Explore parts of the world you’ve always wanted to visit – see famous attractions, buildings, architecture and remote landscapes. Or reminisce about places you’ve visited and give recommendations to friends about where to stay and how to get there.

Preview your vacation accommodations. How close is it to public transportation, amenities or the beach? Is there a high-rise building blocking your oceanfront view?

Use Street View to study the geography, architecture, vegetation and landscape of different parts of the world.

Try it out by clicking here.

Google is focused on making this service available in as many cities as possible. At first they will focus on major metropolitan areas but they plan on making Street View more comprehensive as time goes on. They will be adding Street View imagery for new cities on an ongoing basis. They will announce new imagery rollouts on the Google Lat Long blog.
