Ernst Haas considered a pioneering artist in color photography

by editor on May 28, 2009

Ernst Haas (1921–1986) is acclaimed as one of the most important figures in 20th century photography and is considered a pioneering artist in color photography.

The estate is comprised of over 250,000 color transparencies; 100,000 black and white negatives; and extensive correspondence and writings. New York, New York

I am so glad to find Ernst Haas website today 5-21-2009. I think I had found a website back a few years ago that was not very good that covered his work. This website is excellent with biography, Bibliography, history, articles, essays, photographs both color and B&W and much more. Be sure to read the very good essay: A Painter in a Hurry: The Photography of Ernst Haas by A. D. Coleman

Also check out Philosophy by Hass with 10 parts, well worth the time.
